Claudia Sheinbaum, acting as the National Coordinator of the Transformation, integrated the Autonomous Confederation of Workers and Employees of Mexico (CATEM) into the initiative through the establishment of the CATEM Labor Committees for the Defense of the Fourth Transformation. Sheinbaum expressed satisfaction in formally forging this extensive coalition with CATEM.
At Arena Ciudad de México, Sheinbaum administered oaths to over 10,000 individuals joining the CATEM Labor Committees for the Defense of the Fourth Transformation, emphasizing the goal of ensuring dignified conditions for workers.
Pedro Haces Barba, a senator and the general secretary of CATEM, highlighted the advancements in labor rights achieved under the Fourth Transformation, including wage increases, additional vacation days, and the elimination of outsourcing.
“We are at a critical juncture, which is why, through this congress, we reaffirm our commitment to the principles of the Fourth Transformation,” stated Sheinbaum.
