Oppo Pad Air 2 Launched in China Alongside Reno 11 Series Smartphones
Oppo, the Chinese electronics giant, launched the Oppo Pad Air 2 in China on Thursday, alongside the Oppo Reno 11 series of smartphones. This affordable Android tablet is powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 SoC, coupled with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage.
The Oppo Pad Air 2 is the successor to the original Pad Air, which was released in 2019. The new tablet has a 10.5-inch FHD+ display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, and a refresh rate of 60Hz. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 SoC, which is coupled with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage.
In terms of optics, the Oppo Pad Air 2 has a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. It runs on Android 10 with ColorOS 7.1 on top. The tablet also features a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.
The Oppo Pad Air 2 is available in two color options – Starry Blue and Starry Black. The tablet is priced at CNY 2,499 (approximately Rs. 26,000) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, and CNY 2,799 (approximately Rs. 29,000) for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant.
The Oppo Reno 11 series of smartphones, which were also launched alongside the Oppo Pad Air 2, includes the Oppo Reno 11 Pro, Oppo Reno 11 Pro+, and Oppo Reno 11 Pro Max. All three smartphones are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 800U SoC, coupled with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage.
The Oppo Reno 11 Pro and Oppo Reno 11 Pro+ both have 6.5-inch FHD+ displays with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 90Hz. The Pro+ variant has a triple rear camera setup, consisting of a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. The Pro variant, on the other hand, has a dual rear camera setup, consisting of a 48MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. Both phones have a 16MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.
The Oppo Reno 11 Pro Max, on the other hand, has a 6.55-inch FHD+ display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 90Hz. It has a quad rear camera setup, consisting of a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. It also has a 16MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.
The Oppo Reno 11 Pro is priced at CNY 2,299 (approximately Rs. 24,000) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, and CNY 2,499 (approximately Rs. 26,000) for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. The Oppo Reno 11 Pro+ is priced at CNY 2,799 (approximately Rs. 29,000) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, and CNY 3,099 (approximately Rs. 32,000) for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. The Oppo Reno 11 Pro Max is priced at CNY 3,399 (approximately Rs. 35,000) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, and CNY 3,699 (approximately Rs. 38,000) for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant.
The Oppo Pad Air 2 and the Oppo Reno 11 series of smartphones are now available for purchase in China. There is no word on when these devices will be available in other markets.
