Claudia Sheinbaum, the National Coordinator of the Committees for the Defense of the Fourth Transformation, took part in the 15th Congress of the Autonomous Confederation of Workers and Employees of Mexico (CATEM).
At the congress, she garnered the endorsement of 194 organizations and unions nationwide.
CATEM, held at the Mexico City Arena, disclosed its intention to establish 10 thousand Committees for the Defense of Labor Transformation. These committees aim to spread awareness of the actions of the Fourth Transformation (4T) throughout the country, with a particular focus on initiatives benefiting workers.
“I am delighted to formalize this significant coalition with CATEM,” expressed Claudia Sheinbaum at the event. She also pledged her commitment to championing labor rights.
“I assure the workers of Mexico that we will persist in defending salaries and labor benefits because we recognize that the prosperity of workers translates to the prosperity of employers and the nation. Hence, our commitment is to continue collaborating,” added Sheinbaum.
