As the Tortugas Open final approached, the emerging team of the 2023 season, La Hache La Roca Power Studio, captured everyone’s attention with a design seamlessly blending their passion for both sports and music. Unveiling their new t-shirt at an event held at the Predio al Río, coinciding with the Cirque Du Soleil Messi 10 show, the team presented a design that expertly fused their love for polo and music in a unique and distinctive manner.
Key players from La Hache La Roca Power Studio, including notable figures such as Polito Pieres, Sapo Caset, Hilario Ulloa, and Fran Elizalde, guided by Eduardo “Ruso” Heguy, shared their insights and eagerly discussed their anticipation for the upcoming Tortugas Open final scheduled for the following Saturday.
Polito Pieres, the team’s primary striker, conveyed, “For La Hache, this signifies the first year,” underscoring their sincere desire to clinch victory in a Triple Crown tournament. He emphasized, “It would be immensely gratifying for all those who support us, including the petiseros.”
Supported by the esteemed music recording studio, La Roca Power Studio, owned by Jorge “Corcho” Rodríguez, the studio draws inspiration from the legacy of Electric Lady Studios and was designed by the legendary Eddie Kramer (producer and engineer for Jimi Hendrix, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Kiss), responsible for numerous musical hits in Argentina and worldwide.
The collaboration between La Hache and La Roca Power Studio highlights the importance of teamwork and harmony among team members, strengthened by unwavering support from their families throughout their careers. La Hache distinguishes itself as the sole finalist team in the two major tournaments held so far for the Triple Crown of national polo: the Hurlingham Open and the Tortugas Open. In the former, they faced defeat against La Dolfina in the final, while in the latter, they were overcome by La Natividad.
The Triple Crown in polo encompasses the three high-handicap tournaments of the spring season in Argentina: the Tortugas Country Club Open Championship, the Hurlingham Open Championship, and the Argentine Open Polo Championship (commonly known as the “Palermo Open”).
