“FQM Donates Greenhouse to U of Panama”

Cobre Panama, the largest copper mine in Central America, has made a generous donation to the University of Panama.
The mine, which is owned by First Quantum Minerals (FQM), has donated a state-of-the-art greenhouse to the university, allowing its students to explore the world of agriculture.
The greenhouse is equipped with the latest technologies and will provide students with an environment in which to learn and practice sustainable farming techniques. This will enable students to become more knowledgeable about Panama’s sustainability and conservation initiatives.
The donation of the greenhouse is part of the company’s commitment to giving back to the local community. Cobre Panama has already created educational programs to help local schools and members of the surrounding communities understand and appreciate the importance of the environment.
The greenhouse will help students develop a greater appreciation for nature and encourage them to think of new ways to contribute to sustainable practices.
Commenting on the donation, FQM’s president, Clive Newall, said, “We are excited to be working with the University of Panama to bring this educational experience to the students. Cobre Panama is committed to helping the local community and investing in the future of Panama.”
When asked how Cobre Panama plans to work with the university and students to ensure the success of the greenhouse project, Newall said, “We plan to work with the university to provide workshops for students on sustainable practices and research opportunities that can expand their knowledge and use of the greenhouse.”
Cobre Panama has a long history of supporting sustainable practices and contributing to the local community. With this donation of a greenhouse, they are once again demonstrating their commitment to the environment and the future of Panama.
This donation by Cobre Panama is just one example of how the company is striving to make a positive impact in the community. Their commitment to sustainability and the environment will serve as an example for other companies in the Central American region.
